eSIM compatibility
Two things decide whether a naviroam eSIM will work on your phone: the device must have eSIM hardware, and it must be carrier-unlocked. Dial *#06# — if an EID number appears, you have eSIM hardware.
Supported devices

Manufacturers add eSIM support to new models regularly, and support can differ by the region a phone was sold in. If your model is not listed, check with *#06# before buying.
Compatibility questions
- How do I check if my phone supports eSIM?
- Dial *#06# on the keypad. If an EID number is listed alongside the IMEI, your phone has eSIM hardware. On iPhone you can also check Settings → General → About → EID, and on Android under Settings → About phone → SIM status.
- Does my phone need to be unlocked?
- Yes. A carrier-locked phone will reject a third-party eSIM profile. Ask your home carrier to unlock the device before you travel.
- Can I keep my normal SIM while using an eSIM?
- Yes. Modern phones run a physical SIM and an eSIM at the same time. Keep your home line active for calls and SMS, and set the travel eSIM as your mobile data line.
- Do iPhones bought in mainland China support eSIM?
- No. iPhone models sold in mainland China ship without eSIM support. Hong Kong and Macao models of some generations are also dual-physical-SIM only.
- What if my phone is not compatible?
- Contact us at hello@naviroam.com before installing. An eSIM that was never installed and cannot work on your device is refundable.
